I’m Helena! I’ve been exploring and learning massage and Reiki since 2007 when I completed my ITEC diploma in Holistic Massage and Reiki Master in 2008.

In 2008 I decided to travel and set off to Thailand and then to Australia. In Melbourne is where my massage work started and it was very eye-opening to the work and the different type of environments one can work in.

After some time of reflection, travel, moving home and considering other studies I set off again in 2011 to New Zealand!

It was there that my massage work landed, sank in more. It was truly where I decided yes this is something I love and want to develop and offer. I worked in a Chinese Health Centre in Wellington and that is where I started to develop my Deep Tissue technique.

I worked in some beautiful retreat centres also gaining insight and inspiration into the work.

On my return home I took time out from the work due to certain injuries etc and focused on yoga for awhile something I had started also in 2008. In 2014 I took my YTT and completed 200hr training in Hatha Yoga.

I had started working in Dervish at this time and was delighted to be apart of its community, learning and growing as a person there and developing deeper into bodywork, what it means to me and how I’d like to share that with the community.

In 2016/17 I started training in Vedic Thai Bodywork with The Vedic Conservatory. A whole new world of bodywork was opening up and one so different, so dynamic I would need time to integrate.

In 2018 I took a training in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage with Adam Divine and a lot started to integrate between the holistic oil massage, deep tissue, yoga adjustments etc

The many years exploring massage has been the best thing I have done for myself not only in learning to give these treatments but in receiving! For me it is crucial as a bodyworker to receive and balance the output with the input.

I am very proud to say that I am apart of the wonderful Dervish Massage Co op, I have met some of the finest therapists there with real integrity in the work and that is a blessing to receive and work alongside these incredible ladies.

In 2018 a good friend that I met through the massage co op decided we would start a Yoga Collective and we did, we set up initially running weekly classes out of the Kino and in 2019 another few wonderful teachers came together and we opened a yoga and dance studio called Collective Cork within the beautiful building that is the Triskel Arts Centre. Collective Cork is where I run weekly classes in Body Isolation and Hatha Yoga and other workshops where I collaborate with local teachers & therapists.

It’s been a wild and wonderful few years of learning and expanding into the holistic realm with my offerings.

So in short my specialities are –

Intuitive Massage

Deep Tissue

Ayurvedic Thai Bodywork

Hatha Yoga

Body Isolation

Improvisation

Happy to hear from you with any questions regarding these treatments.
