Hey everyone! My name is Nuria Alvarez and I'm excited to introduce myself as a Licensed Acupuncturist and Therapeutic Massage Technician. My passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine led me to study in both my hometown Barcelona and Beijing in the Republic of China. During my 4 years of study at "Escuela Superior de Técnicas Parasanitarias", I was fortunate enough to practice in private and public hospitals in Beijing alongside some of the most experienced Doctors in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In addition to my training in TCM, I also studied Therapeutic and Sports Massage during my 3rd year course in the same school in Barcelona. This expanded my knowledge of human anatomy and allowed me to better understand the human body.

After 6 years of experience working in centres of massage and complementary therapies around Barcelona and Cork, where I currently reside, I decided to start my own practice in January 2022. I've also volunteered my time in Barcelona to work with patients dealing with chronic and acute pain, cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, and other conditions.

I'm proud to be a Professional member of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA), based in Cork city.
